Mayts has developed a comprehensive quality assurance system that integrates general quality checklists for defects and occupation certification with our in-house tools and systems. By prioritising quality from the outset, we create a culture of excellence that fosters:

We believe that managing quality on every project is essential for continual improvement of our operations, ensuring compliance with client, contractual, and regulatory requirements, and providing the necessary building resources within budgetary constraints.

Our Project Quality Plan (PQP) for each project outlines how we plan to implement and manage the quality assurance process. We place great emphasis on managing the quality of work by all trades involved in each stage, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, the Building Code of Australia, meeting Australian Standards, and contractual agreements.

We employ a range of measures to ensure quality assurance expectations are met, including monitoring subcontractors' daily progress, inspecting building materials for proper documentation and condition, completing deficiencies in a timely manner, and maintaining complete and accurate document control.

At Mayts, our commitment to quality assurance ensures that we exceed our clients' expectations and deliver completed projects that are of the highest possible standard.

Safety is our main priority and our mission with any project is to ensure everyone carries out all works in accordance with Australian Safety Standards. 

A safe working environment is paramount in ensuring everyone gets home safely, everyday. We achieve this by implementing a range of safety procedures including the provision or Safe Work Method Statements for high risk work, risk assessment registers and wearing the correct personal protective equipment required at all times.

To maintain our adequate safety record, Mayts uses a comprehensive OHS and environmental management system which combines all of our safety registers and checklists across all projects.

This management system satisfies all National legislative and regulatory requirements with complies with all national and construction industry codes of practice and AS/NZS Standards.

A Strict View on Safety

Mayts’ commitment to safety also goes beyond the statutory requirements and uses and combination of trends, data and safety systems to make our safety systems smarter and more effective. Some of these changes include:

  • INFORMATION SHARING: As safety reporting data is captured on our construction sites, it is then shared to our teams via an internal online email correspondence list. This transparency helps motivate our people to stay focused on site safety.

  • IMPROVED SYSTEMS TO MANAGE RISK: Our approach to managing OHS risks focuses on tools for the planning and checking of risks across three areas: People, Plant and Processes.

  • CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT: The safety systems and data undergo regular scrutiny by our senior management team to spot trends and areas for improvement.
